Got my #booster! AND my flu shot. I’m ready to deal with any knuckle dragging, mouth-breathing science denier that crosses my path.A gift from a former boss, I just love this bubble vase.I like how this #bromeliad turns red in the cold. I suppose I should bring it under cover soon, but I have been too busy. Just about all my #houseplants are still outside. I’m a bad #houseplantmom .#lapageriarosea climbing up a #trachycarpusfortunei in my friend @mulchmaid Jane’s beautiful garden. This plant was named after Empress Josephine whose last name was Lapagerie. It can top out at more than 30’, so no Napoleon complex here.I was shopping for trees today, when this rolled by. Made me sad to see so many formerly stately trunks felled, and on the way to be processed for human consumption. It definitely added to my sense of urgency. #plantmoretreesA client texted me an update from a color consultation I helped her with at the end of last year. Since then, many things have happened, as the house has gotten a complete overhaul. And there was of course a loooong wait until they found a painter who had time to put them on the schedule. As you can see, the porch expansion is still underway. But, enough has been accomplished that the results of that color consult are up for the world to see. I love it, and so (thankfully) does the client. Even the neighbors who upon seeing the swatches on the wall last year exclaimed “ You can’t be serious!!!”, have come around and are now apparently asking for my number. I love doing color consultations, and will happily help them out, though I need to say this: the best work happens with the best clients - the ones who know they want to do things a little differently, and trust you to help them get there. This was one of those clients. Best of all, as soon as the house is done, we’ll start implementing the garden design around it. More to come on that.
