Sunrise on the mountain this morning. Can you believe it - first skiday of the season. I have definitely missed out. More of this , please!A forgotten photo from warmer days. #bigleavesmakemehappy#acaciadealbata in full bud in my sideyard, out of the eastern gorge winds. Last year’s Valentine’s ice toppled it so for a while, it was held up by our neighbor’s garage. Now, it’s propped up with a length of steel, but definitely not stable. I should just lop it back - or take it out- but I really want to see it flower again. Wonder if it will recover if I cut it back..? 🤔 #mygardenWhile Argentina and Australia are experiencing the kinds of terrifying heat domes we had here in June, with temperatures north of 120F, the hellebores here in Portland are blooming way earlier than usual.My little buddies!
