Built on a narrow in-fill plot, this house had a generous hell strip, and a small patio behind the house. To fit with the aesthetic of the house and the busy lives of its owners, we used rocks, gravel, and selected plants that thrive on neglect, yet throw an architectural punch. Texture and form were the main aspirations in this project.
